Prophet Kumchacha
In a recent interview, Prophet Kumchacha did not hold back in expressing his anger toward Nana Appiah Mensah, commonly known as NAM 1, the CEO of the defunct Menzgold company. During his conversation with Zionfelix on February 18, 2025, Kumchacha revealed that he lost a staggering GH¢1 million to Menzgold and labeled NAM 1 a fraudster for deceiving many Ghanaians.
Kumchacha recounted the painful experience of investing in Menzgold, a company that promised high returns but ultimately collapsed. He vividly described the feelings of betrayal and loss, stating, “He stole my GH¢1 million, and he is going to suffer so much that even if he dies, his soul would still suffer.” His words reflected deep frustration, not just for himself but for others affected by the scheme.
The prophet shared that his decision to invest was not driven by greed. Instead, he genuinely believed in the business after seeing documents that suggested Menzgold was approved by the Bank of Ghana to operate. He even introduced friends, including military personnel, to the investment, believing it to be legitimate.
Kumchacha’s investment story is a stark reminder of the risks involved in financial schemes that promise high returns. Menzgold was shut down by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in September 2018 for operating outside its license, leaving many investors in financial ruin. Following the company’s collapse, NAM 1 faced criminal charges, highlighting the serious implications of his actions.
As Kumchacha continues to voice his grievances, his case resonates with many who lost their savings in similar schemes. The emotional toll of such financial betrayals can be devastating, leading individuals to question their judgment and trust in investment opportunities.
