In a rallying cry to voters ahead of the December 7, 2024 elections, former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo urged Ghanaians to express their frustrations at the ballot box. Speaking to supporters in the Guan constituency, Ampofo encouraged citizens to “transfer your anger through your thumb” by voting against the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Ampofo highlighted the challenges faced by the constituency due to a lack of representation, emphasizing that the current government’s actions have hindered development. He called for a decisive turnout, urging voters from Santrokofi, Akpafu, Lipke, and Lolobi to aim for over 100% support for the NDC and its presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama.
He stressed that the upcoming elections are a crucial opportunity to make their voices heard without resorting to violence or insults. Instead, he urged voters to channel their frustrations into a strong electoral mandate, ensuring their collective anger translates into a powerful statement on Election Day.
As the election approaches, the message is clear: Ghanaians have the power to influence their future through their votes.
