Mzbel
Ghanaian musician Mzbel has sparked conversation with her candid comments about dating married men. In a recent interview with Empress Gifty, she openly shared her preference, explaining that her relationships with married men come with fewer responsibilities.
Mzbel, known for her hit song “16 Years,” stated that all the men she has dated have been married. She believes that married men are less likely to impose household duties on her since they have to return to their wives. “Since I started dating, all the men in my life have been married,” she said. “They won’t bother you with house chores because they have to return to their wives. I like it that way.”
When pressed about her current relationship status, Mzbel was somewhat reserved. She confirmed that she is engaged and has a child with her partner, but she refrained from disclosing whether he is married. “I haven’t asked him if he’s married because I don’t want to know,” she explained. Mzbel emphasized that the important aspect of their relationship is their mutual interest.
She mentioned that her fiancé has not yet met her family, which she does not find necessary for their relationship. “We’re both interested in each other, and that’s what matters. I asked for a ring, and he gave it to me,” Mzbel shared. Notably, she also mentioned that her partner is older than she is, adding another layer to her unconventional relationship choices.
Mzbel’s revelations have ignited discussions about the complexities of adult relationships and the motivations behind choosing partners. While her preferences might raise eyebrows, they also reflect a reality that some individuals navigate in their romantic lives.
