
Deputy Ministers Designate
President John Dramani Mahama has nominated 13 individuals for deputy ministerial roles in his administration. This announcement adds to the growing list of appointees as he seeks to fill key positions within his government.
Among the notable nominees is Justice Srem Sai, a respected legal practitioner who has been nominated as the Deputy Attorney General and Minister of Justice-designate. His expertise in law is expected to bring valuable insights to the legal affairs of the country. Another prominent figure on the list is John Dumelo, the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, who has been nominated as the Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture-designate. Dumelo, known for his work as a farmer and an actor, aims to leverage his experience in promoting agricultural development.
Additionally, Thomas Nyarko Ampem, the MP for Asuogyaman, has been named as the Minister of Finance-designate. His appointment signals a focus on financial governance, a critical area for the country’s economic growth. Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, the MP for Builsa South, has been nominated as the Deputy Minister of Education-designate, reflecting the administration’s commitment to improving educational outcomes.
Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba, the MP for Tempane, has also been nominated as Minister of State for Public Sector Reforms-designate. Her role will be pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of public services.
