In a bold statement, Edward Ennin, the former Member of Parliament for Obuasi East, has expressed his willingness to disclose the whereabouts of looted state funds purportedly misappropriated during the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration. Speaking in an interview with Accra-based UTV, Ennin claimed that he is prepared to provide evidence to any investigative committee probing the alleged corruption.
Ennin emphasized that Ghana’s ambassadors and high commissioners are aware of the stolen funds and their international destinations. He recounted a concerning discussion with diplomats from France, the UK, and the US, revealing that they too are privy to the ongoing financial misconduct.
Moreover, he highlighted his recent observations in Guyana, suggesting that illicit financial activities are extensive and intertwined with international investments. Ennin asserted his commitment to put Ghana first, declaring his readiness to present evidence against government officials involved in illegal small-scale mining, also known as galamsey.
As the political landscape evolves, Ennin’s revelations could have significant implications for accountability and transparency in Ghana. With a promise to expose corruption, he aims to pave the way for a more honest governance system.
