Former President John Dramani Mahama has been actively monitoring the provisional election results following the closure of polls on December 7, 2024. In a video shared by Metro TV, Mahama is seen closely reviewing the incoming results alongside his team, including his aide, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) engine room.
As the Electoral Commission announces results from various constituencies, the atmosphere is charged with anticipation. The counting and collation process, taking place at the National Collation Centre in Accra, aims to ensure transparency and fairness throughout the electoral process.
Both the NDC and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have called for calm among their supporters, emphasizing the importance of allowing the Electoral Commission to carry out its duties without interference. While the NPP has urged its members to maintain decorum during this critical time, the NDC has encouraged its supporters to remain vigilant and refrain from premature celebrations.
