The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has asked its customers who use Nuri Prepayment Meters to buy extra electricity credit soon. This request comes as the company plans to update its system in the coming days.
According to ECG’s announcement on November 23, 2024, customers should buy enough credit to last them for at least one month. This is because during the system update, people might not be able to buy new credit for their meters.
The update is not optional – it must be done to keep the prepaid meter system working properly. ECG says this is part of something called the Standard Transfer Specifications (STS) protocol, which helps manage all their prepaid meters.
For customers who need help or have questions, ECG has made it easy to get support. They can:
- Call ECG at 0302 611611
- Send messages to ECG on social media (@ECGghOfficial)
ECG wants to make sure no one loses power during this update. That’s why they’re telling everyone early to stock up on credit. This way, customers can keep their lights on while ECG makes these important changes to their system.
Remember: If you use a Nuri Prepayment Meter, buy your extra credit now to avoid any problems when the system update begins.
